Mental illness is a medical condition that disrupts a person’s thinking, feeling, mood and often their ability to relate to others, themselves and the world around them. Mental health disorders or illnesses are not a result of character weakness or poor upbringing.
Examples of mental illness are depression, bipolar, anxiety disorders, ADHD, schizophrenia, addictive behaviors and eating disorders. Mental illness can not be prayed or willed away.
